He appeared in roughly 130 films, mostly comedies, throughout the 1950s, '60s, and '70s. He became known for the catchphrase, "My good man." His first film role was in 1954's "Windfall in Athens," which was produced by famed Cypriot filmmaker Mihalis Kakogiannis.
