Bosnian-Serbian poet, writer, songwriter, and translator who wrote nearly 800 poems (collected in six volumes) and seven plays. Also an editor, he headed a literary review called Zora during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. He was ten years old when his hometown of Mostar, Bosnya Villayet (then part of the Ottoman Empire) was occupied by Austria-Hungary.
