Author famous for her books in the Velva Jean series as well as the New York Times bestseller All the Bright Places. She has also dabbled in nonfiction with books like Ada Blackjack and the memoir The Aqua Net Diaries. She started writing full-time in 2000 and first gained attention with the nonfiction book The Ice Master in 2001.
