Known as The Queen of Motown, she recorded hits in the 1960s like "My Guy," "You Beat Me to the Punch," and "Two Lovers." She was first signed to Motown by Berry Gordy when Wells was seventeen, promoting the song that became her first hit, "Bye Bye Baby."
