Late American journalist who was kidnapped and murdered in Syria by the Islamic militant group known as ISIS. Prior to his death, he was an acclaimed reporter for magazines like Time and World Affairs. He was raised in Pinecrest, Florida and majored in Journalism at the University of Central Florida.
