Known for his roles in such Turkish films as Hamam (Steam: The Turkish Bath), Istanbul Tales, and Ses (The Voice), he was the 1998 recipient of an Ankara International Film Festival Award. Before beginning his acting career, he worked as both a model and a bartender.
