The author of acclaimed plays in the political thriller genre, this Northern Irish dramatist is particularly well known for In A Little World of Our Own (1997); As the Beast Sleeps (1998); and The Force of Change (2000). His first two plays, Independent Voice (1993) and Alternative Future (1994), were staged, respectively, at the Tinderbox and Point Fields theatres (both in Belfast, Northern Ireland). Early in his career, he also wrote several BBC Radio dramas, including The World, the Flesh and the Devil (1991) and A Tearful of Dreams (1993).
