English striker most famous for his years as a member of Reading, West Bromich Albion and the Republic of Ireland. He led Football League One in scoring in 2008-09 and was named Swindon Town Player of The Season. He was born in Tilehurst, a suburb of Reading, and attended Denefield School. He began playing for Reading at age 9.
