Singer, guitarist, and songwriter who rose to fame during the late 1960s and early 1970s. A founding member of the popular English rock band Badfinger, he wrote and performed such hits as "Day After Day" and "Baby Blue." He founded a Welsh band called The Iveys (or, originally, The Panthers) in 1961. The band, which was later signed to the Beatles' label, was re-named Badfinger in 1969.
