Best remembered for such 1960s hits as "Corrine, Corrina" and "Tell Laura I Love Her," this popular singer first ranked on the Billboard Top 40 with his 1959 track "The Wonder of You." After recovering from a childhood bout of polio, he began pursuing his singing career. In the late 1950s, he signed with RCA Victor Records.
