She wrote the youth marketing handbook Chasing Youth Culture And Getting It Right as well as the teen series Mackenzie Blue. She began her career at the young age of 16, when she started consulting and writing product reviews for a newsletter. She had the idea to start a business of her own when she was still a student at Hood College.
