Known for her roles on such Filipino ABS-CBN television series as Kokey @ Ako and Maalaala Mo Kaya, she also had a career as a reality television star. She won the 2009-2010 season of Pinoy Big Brother and also starred in her own reality series, Melason. Before making her television debut in 2009 on Pinoy Big Brother, she attended Mindanao State University in General Santos City, Philippines.
