Slovenian politician known for being the first woman to serve as the country's prime minister, a position she held from March 2013 to May 2014, at which point she became the country's first prime minister to resign. After attending the University of Ljubljana, she worked at the Ministry of Finance. She first ran for office in 2006, winning a position on the city council of Kranj.
