Democrat who took office as the 81st Governor of Vermont on January 6, 2011. He was previously the President Pro Tempore of the Vermont Senate from 1997 to 2003 and then again from 2007 to 2011. He was a founding member of Landmark College after graduating from Wesleyan University in 1979.
