Midfielder born Ramires Santos do Nascimento, who joined Chelsea in 2010 after previously playing for Benfica and Cruzeiro. He became a member of the Brazilian national team in 2009. He debuted professionally for Joinville in 2006 after spending a year with the club's youth team.
