British poet, professor, and two-time National Poetry Competition winner. Her best-known works include My Life Asleep, Electroplating the Baby, and Of Mutability. She studied at Trinity College, Dublin and at Harvard University. She published her debut poetry collection, Electroplating the Baby, in 1988.
