While playing for the KRC Genk football club, this striker was loaned to both Cercle Brugge and Middlesbrough. Known to his fans as "The Magician," he scored a total of eighty-five goals between 2006 and 2014. He played his youth career for Eigenbilzen and Tongeren before signing with KRC Genk in 2000. Early in his career, he also played for Belgium's Under-15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21 teams.
