Republican politician who became the 13th Lieutenant Governor of Alaska in 2010. He was also the Chair of the U.S. Arctic Research Commission from 2006 to 2010. He received his Bachelor's degree from Yale in 1978 before he moved to Alaska to do an internship with U.S. Secretary of Interior Wally Hickel's run for Governor of Alaska.
