Widely considered one of the most important figures in contemporary Vietnamese music. He specialized in love songs and anti-war songs, a few of which were banned by the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. He matriculated from the Lycee Jean-Jacques Rousseau School where he studied Western Philosophy.
