Commonly known as Mido, he is a coach and former soccer player best known as the manager for Zamalek sports club. He gained popularity throughout his professional soccer career playing for clubs around the world, from Egypt to England. He also played for the Egyptian national team for almost ten years. He began his youth career in 1999 with the Zamalek sports club. The following year, he made his debut in the Egyptian Premiere League.
