Lead vocalist and main dancer of the South Korean K-pop group Red Velvet. She has appeared on television shows such as Let's Go! Dream Team, The Last Song and Off to School. She was a member of the pre-debut group S.M. Rookies and performed a Christmas carol which was posted to the group's YouTube channel. She trained for seven years with S.M., beginning when she was cast in 2007.
