Twentieth-century Australian poet known for Ghost of the Cock, Socrates and Other Poems, and Birthday. He received both the Christopher Brennan Award and the Gold Medal of the Australian Literature Society. He was born Francis Charles Webb-Wagg and was the only son of a musician father and a socialite mother.
