Debuting as a Major League Baseball pitcher with the Toronto Blue Jays in April of 2015, he helped lead the Jays to the 2015 ALCS where they fell to the Kansas City Royals. He became the youngest pitcher in American League history to record a save in the postseason at the age of 20. He made his professional baseball debut with the Diablos Rojos del Mexico in 2011. He then played three seasons in the Blue Jays minor league system.
