English midfielder who won the Victory Shield title in 2006 and 2007 and the Tournoi de Montaigu title in 2008 as a member of the English national team. In league play, he is best known for his time with Everton and Sheffield United. He was born in Bootle, Merseyside and began playing for the Everton youth squad as a 6 year old. He debuted with the senior squad in 2008.
