Defensive back known primarily for his time in Italy's Serie A. He joined Roma in 2012 and has spent time with Inter and Sampdoria, also in Serie A, on loan. He grew up playing for Corinthians and spent time with their senior team in the Brazilia Serie A. He later played for Bahia before moving to Italy.
