Notable for his childhood and teenage roles in South Korean television series such as Warrior Baek Dong-soo, Time Between Dog and Wolf, and May Queen, he is also well known for his KBS and MBC Drama Award-winning performances in the respective series I'm Sorry, I Love You and East of Eden. Early in his career, he acted in the KBS2 network programs Hard Love and Mittens.
