Politician and Democrat who became a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from California in 1993. He became the Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus in 2013 and he holds two Caucus memberships and is pro-choice. He received his J.D. from Stanford Law School before working as a Lawyer at the Legal Assistance Corporation of Central Massachusetts.
