Traditional singer who rose to stardom during the 1950s for hits such as "May You Always," "Ricochet," and "Papa Loves Mama." She worked a job at a photography studio re-touching pictures. Her 1953 demo record included the songs "Too Young" and "I'll Walk Alone."
