Versatile talent who has worked in writing, music, television, and journalism and has also been a songwriter, singer, and lead guitarist with multiple Estonian bands, producing a number of albums. As a journalist, he has been an arts critic and columnist for many of Estonia's major newspapers, the chief of the culture section for Estonia's second largest newspaper, and editor-in-chief of its only music magazine.
