Adolf Hitler's number two and founder of the Gestapo who was the highest ranking Nazi official to be tried at the Nuremberg Trials. He was sentenced to death at the Nuremberg Trials for war crimes and crimes against humanity but he committed suicide the night before he was to be hanged. He was an ace fighter pilot in World War I, and was awarded the esteemed Pour le M rite.
