Puerto Rican philosopher and educator who was known as "El Gran Ciudadano de las Am ricas" and was awarded with many honors throughout his lifetime including having a municipality named after him in the Dominican Republic. He joined the Cuban Revolutionary Committee in the U.S.and became the editor of the La Revoluci 'n journal.
