Member of the short-lived band The Journeymen during the peak of folk music who released his best remembered single "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)" in 1967. During his high school days, he was in a group called The Singing Strings and followed that performing in a doo wop group called The Abstracts.
