British actor who portrayed Mr. Salt in the classic film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. He was also known as Planchet in The Three Musketeers. He started on the stage, appearing in 1960 in the play Sparrows Can't Sing. He would also be a part of the 1963 film adaptation of that play.
