First rose to fame for the release of her debut single "First Kiss" in 2011. She then later went on to release the songs "If I Was Gonna Go" in 2012 and "Wild Boy" in 2013. She began playing guitar at the age of twelve. She has also since learned to play the mandolin, piano, and ukulele.
