Notable for her recurring roles in the British television series Casualty, A Touch of Frost, and The Brittas Empire, she is also well known for her stage acting work, which includes performances in English productions of Three Sisters, King Lear, and The History Boys. She made her screen acting debut in the 1982 made-for-TV movie Charles & Diana: A Royal Love Story.
