Better known by his stage name El Komander, Rios is famous for controversial alternative music ballads that focus on the lives and deaths of Mexican drug lords. His 2009 album El Katch includes a hit song titled "Nomas por Ser Sinaloense." After training in the Mexican banda, mariachi, and cancion music styles, he released his debut album, En-Vivo Desde Badiragato!, in 2006.
