Bassist and vocalist best remembered for his years as a member of the pioneering progressive rock band King Crimson and the hard rock supergroup Bad Company. He also recorded music with artists like Centipede, Jon Lord and Pete Sinfield. He was born in Holbeach, Lincolnshire and played rhythm guitar in the band Tea Time 4 as a teenager.
