Japanese actor who gained international success after appearing in the 1996 film, Shall We Dance? He also played Nobu in the 2005 film, Memoirs of a Geisha. He worked at the Chiyoda municipal ward office in Tokyo after he graduated from Nagasaki Prefectural High School of Technology in 1974.
