People Tried to Criticize Gigi Hadids Body So She Shut Them Down for Good

And alongside other body positivity advocates like Camila Mendes, Ashley Graham, and Demi Lovato, Gigi Hadid is also here to stand with you, and to stand against all body shamers.
According to E! News, Gigi walked in the Jeremy Scott and Bottega Veneta shows during New York Fashion Week. Shortly after, the model was slammed with hate on social media. So Gigi did what she knows best, and clapped back at the haters in a fiery Twitter thread, letting them know that body shaming of any kind is never okay.
'For those of you so determined to come up w why my body has changed over the years, you may not know that when I started @ 17 I was not yet diagnosed w/Hashimoto's disease; those of u who called me 'too big for the industry' were seeing inflammation & water retention due to that,' her initial Tweet read.
Gigi then opened up about her health struggles, and how hard it's been for her to find the right medication for her condition in the past few years. She also discussed some of the symptoms of Hashimoto's disease, which include fatigue, unexplained weight gain, depression, and more.
Hashimoto's disease is an autoimmune disease, and the most common cause of hypothyroidism in the United States, according to Mayo Clinic. In people with Hashimoto's, the immune system attacks its own thyroid, causing various health issues. Gigi wrote that as she's learned to properly treat her condition, her body has changed. While some have said she looks skinnier, Gigi said that wasn't her goal. Instead, she aimed to do what was best for her body. Part of her inspiring thread included the body positive statement that Gigi is 'still learning and growing' with her body every day, 'as everyone is.'....
