Linkin Park Pens Heartfelt Letter to Chester Bennington: ‘You Touched So Many Lives’

Chester Bennington’s Linkin Park bandmates have shared a heartfelt letter posted in honor of the singer who died last week, writing, “you touched so many lives, maybe even more than you realized.”

“Talking with you about the years ahead together, your excitement was infectious,” read the statement. “Your absence leaves a void that can never be filled–a boisterous, funny, ambitious, creative, kind, generous voice in the room is missing. We’re trying to remind ourselves that the demons who took you away from us were always part of the deal.”

Bennington was found dead in his home Thursday morning at the age of 41 as a result of hanging. According to the coroner’s office, Bennington hanged himself from a bedroom door.
