Lee Johnson feels victory over Millwall tomorrow will mean City have made a positive start to the 2017/18 campaign.

The head coach has seen his side experience a win, a draw and a loss from their opening three games of the Sky Bet Championship season.

There are two more league games to play in August, both of which will be played at Ashton Gate, starting tomorrow against the newly-promoted Lions, before big-spending Aston Villa come to BS3 in front of the Sky cameras six days later.

Speaking on BCTV, Johnson said: “This is probably the game where if we can take all three points then it will be seen as a good start to the season.

“It was a bit of a ‘win’ for us to get that 98th-minute goal at Brentford on Tuesday, to earn that point from a venue where we’ve struggled to get anything in recent years.

“Now it’s great to be back at Ashton Gate in front of our vociferous home supporters. We saw how important that positive atmosphere and environment can be against Barnsley and we need it again.
